Yes! We welcome author requests and do our best to accommodate, subject to availability and fit with festival goals.
Sessions typically include an author reading from their work, storytelling about their writing process, and Q&A with pupils, followed by a book signing. Each session is 45-60 minutes.
We provide pre-festival resources including author information, book recommendations, and excitement-building activities. Reading the author’s books beforehand enhances the experience but isn’t essential.
Approximately £16.50 per pupil for a full-year programme, including programme voting, classroom activity, festival attendance, transport and free book! This is significantly lower than individual schools booking authors independently, for a much shorter duration.

We prioritise areas serving disadvantaged communities, but our festivals include all pupils within participating trusts regardless of individual school context.
